Del Bosque extended his contract until 2012

World Cup contender with Spain

As expected the popular manager Vicente Del Bosque handed a contract extension until 2012, Ángel María Villar the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF) president give his full confidence in Del Bosque stating that “what ever happen” at the World Cup 2010 in South Africa this extension is a done business.

Del Bosque record with Spanish team was so far impressive, managing Spain in 22 games (W: 21 D: 0 L:1) scoring (63 goals) conceding (14 goals), also he wrote his name in history books as Del Bosque became the first manager in football history to win his first 10 games as debut manager of a national team, the previous record was 9 held by João Saldanha (1969 – 1970) of Brazil. Also Spain ended their World Cup qualification with 100% winning all their 10 games.
