Muniz is Malaga FC new Manager:
Juan Muniz has been named as Malaga new manager for the next 2 years replacing Tapia who take Real Betis hotseat in a mission to bring them back to the first division. Muniz was Racing Santander tactician during (2008-09) season guiding them toward 12th place in the La Liga table. So after Malaga and Tapia failed to continue togther for the next season despite the great results Tapia did with Malaga and a 8th place in the Spanish La Liga table.
Muniz is familiar with Malaga as he led them (2006-08) and to promotion into the first division of the La Liga, Muniz will have at his disposal a talented squad like: Jesús Gámez, Eliseu, Nabil Baha, and the re-rejuvenated Albert Luque.
Roberto Martinez is Wigan new Manager:
Finally Wigan got their man Roberto Martinez from Swansea City after they agreed on compenaation agreement with Wigan to release the young Spanish tactician from his remaining duties with Swansea City. Martinez signed three years deal with Wigan replacing Steve Bruce who moved to Sunderland.
Martinez “Bobby” is a fan favorite among Latics supporters due his time with Wigan as a player (1995-2001). Martinez many consider the next Special One in England Premier League. Now I end this post with Bobby’s own words:
For the chairman to trust me at the age of 35 to lead his club in the top league in the world is a massive honour for me but I know that I have a job to do, that the talking has to stop after today and we have to work at achieving the club’s ambitions
I am taking on huge expectation, and the Wigan Athletic supporters are a special set of people who I know will give me time and get behind me – but I don’t want them to cheer me because of what’s happened in the past.
I want them to cheer the players on today for what they achieve now, in keeping this fantastic club in the Premier League and to keep progressing higher and higher
