Finally Real Madrid get their new manager Manuel Pellegrini (click here to review his profile) who known as (El Ingeniero) the Engineer as he earned before a degree in Civil Engineering  to be the first ever Chilean to manage the Los Blancos, although Real Madrid have founding  memories of another Chilean Ivan Zamorano former Real Madrid striker who was brought to replace the Mexican Legend Hugo Sanchez.

Pellegrini signed two years contract with Real Madrid replacing Juande Ramos to be the first deal done in Florentino Perez new era (1st June confirmed as Real Madrid President) and the leader of the new Sport project, also Pellegrini has received thump up from Jorge Valdano and Argentine Legend Alfrido Di Stefano (Real Madrid Honorary President)

The 54 old Chilean tactician spent 5 marvelous seasons with Villarreal (Yellow Submarines) led them to Champions League semi-finals (2005-06) and La Liga runner-up (2007-08) transforming the small club into one of Europe most improved clubs. With Villarreal Pellegrini create a Latino-style team in term of playing with expert eye on young players (Santi Cazorla, Matias Fernandez…etc) plus a great transfers dealing (Nihat, Cani, Javi Venta, Forlan….etc) to prove to be all master piece transfers for the team.

Manuel has a philosophical approach to football:

whoever devotes 24 hours a day to football is a bad coach. Football is a combination of personality, taste, demands, leadership… Leadership is learned by reading, seeing and living. If football is all I know, then I know nothing.

Jorge Valdano  the Director General and Presidential Aide at Real Madrid who many believes he was the main force to sign Pellegrini has this words about the new manager:

We began discussing the coaching job a month ago. Pellegrini fulfills important requisites. He knows Spanish football, he has been successful in Spain and was successful in Argentina. His signing makes good sense. What the press have to say may be a different story.

Pellegrini is very good at dealing with changes. We will be able to talk for hours about sporting matters on Tuesday. We will only sign players the coach likes. It wouldn’t be common sense to do otherwise. We are working on building a new team. New men will arrive and others will have to leave. We did it in the past and we’ll do it again. Pellegrini is polite and has firm opinions. His teams have a well-defined style. He is true to his ideals.”

Pellegrini has tough task ahead to restore Real Madrid pride in The European stage and to compete with Treble winner Barcelona. So next season will be interested in The Spanish La Liga.
