Latest Managers transfers: Valverde to Villarreal, Duarté to Le Mans

Valverde to Villarreal (Spain/age 45)

Villarreal moved quickly to replace Pellegrini (to Real Madrid) by appointing Ernesto Valverde as their new manager, Valverde spent last season with Greek powerhorse team Qlympiacos (won with them the domestic double) but difference in contract matters (they want to pay cut his salary) ends his Greek adventure dspite his popularity among players and fans.

Before that he began his coaching life with Bilbao youth departments then coached Athletic Bilbao Club (2003-2005) and later Espanyol (2006-2008) where he guide them to Uefa cup final against Sevilla only to lose on penalties shot-out.

 

Paulo Duarté (Portugal/age 40)

Le Mans French football club named Paulo Duarté as their new coach for 2009-2010 season, Le Mans manage to escape from relegation to Ligue 2 in the last day of 2008-09 season which they had 3 coached during that season (Yves Bertucci, Daniel Jeandupeux, and Arnaud Cormier).

Paulo also is the manager of Burkina Faso national team and will keep both jobs (until finishing Africa’s World Cup qualifiers for South Africa 2010, next  March 31), previoulsy he coached Portuguese club U.D. Leiria (2006-07 season).
