Managers Transfer talk: Van Gaal & Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti

Here you go the latest about managers transfer talks

Louis Van Gaal:

The man who led AZ Alkmaar for their first Dutch league title since 1981 to crack down the big three dominance (Ajax – PSV Eindhoven – and Feyenoord Rotterdam), Van Gaal now under demand to be specific Bayern Munich desperately want him.

Van Gaal had successful years with Barcelona FC and Ajax and now with AZ Alkmaar, the Dutch tactician is under contract with AZ Alkmaar until 2010, which make the deal difficult to be done according to Uli Hoeness Munich’s general manager.

While Karl-Heinz Rummenigge Bayern’s Chairman is optimistic to see Van Gaal as their new manager.

Van Gaal quoted by Kicker that Bayern is a dream club for him, we should wait to see if Van Gaal can get out from his contract with AZ Alkmaar.

Last April Bayern sacked Jurgen Klinsmann after Champions League elimination and bad Bundesliga results and put Jupp Heynckes (former Champions League winner with Real Madrid 1998) as caretaker until the end of the season.

Carlo Ancelotti:

The longest serving manager at the Italian Serie A (with AC Milan since 2001), is a hot target for Chelsea and possible candidate for Real Madrid post too. While Real Madrid job is only speculations, Chelsea interest is firm to get a great manager to take Guus Hiddink place.

Reports suggest that Chelsea give Ancelotti a deadline to make up his mind, Ancelotti lately declared:

I want to continue coaching at Milan for a while still. “A contract renewal? There is no need to speak about this at the moment. I have a contract until 2010, so I am locked down at the club for now.

The time has not yet come for me to be replaced at Milan. It’s easier to win in Europe with Milan than with other clubs, so I am staying here

These words don’t give a clear hint of his decision; we can see maybe he is buying time to see if Florentino Perez will announce his candidacy for Real Madrid presidential elections. Or he still weighting up his options but to be rejected twice by him is difficult on Chelsea whose top management are getting anxious to get their man as The Guardian suggested that Chelsea officials met with Ancelotti face to face a day after AC Milan game with Juventus, seeking to know the situation clearly.

If Ancelotti persuade failed, another Italian is a candidate Roberto Mancini former Lazio and Inter manager also Frank Rijkaard the creator of Barcelona 2004-2007 attacking version another possible candidate.

Final word, I think Chelsea want a manager who had a glamour Champions League record or won it, Ancelotti and Rijkaard fill this requirement unlike Mancini who get sacked from Inter for his bad Champions League record despite conquering the Italian Serie A title (2007 and 2008).
