Free Football Managers – part one

FC+Spartak+Moskva+v+FC+Zenit+St+Petersburg+1E2FvPsPeXKl

The European Football season is in the final stages and the holidays looming closer and closer and big changes will be rang in several clubs; in this post I’m going to list free coaches and managers:

Michael Laudrup (Denmark :: age 44)

The Danish maestro is free now, his last post was Spartak Moscow coach but he was sacked last April after losing to Dinamo Moscow (3-0), he had a successful campgnes with Brondby (2002-06) and Getafe (2007-08). rumors suggested that Laudrup is a candidate to take Wolfsburg hot seat (he ruled out that because language barriers) as Magath set to be Schalke 04 new manager and some reports stated that he snub an offer from Ajax, many pundits convince that Laudrup targeting a Spanish return !!

Roberto Mancini (Italy :: age 44)

Was away from football since Inter sack him last summer 2008, always linked with English teams now his agent said anything possible when he was asked about his client move to coach AS Roma. Italian teams many predict will have major changes in coaches so an Italian job for Mancini is in the horizon.

Eric Gerets (Belgium :: age 55)

By the end of this season he will leave Marseille, Gerets linked with Bayern Munich and with Atletico Madrid also could be attractive to the former Belgium defender, but reports claimed that Gerets near to be Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia new coach.

Marco Van Basten (Holland :: age 44)

The former Dutch star quit Ajax lately, Van Basten continouly linked with AC Milan post to replace Carlo Ancelotti but still nothing clear about Ancelotti (his contract run until 2010) himself position whether he will go to Chelsea or not.

Frank Rijkaard (Holland :: age 46)

Following his Barcelona exit Rijkaard still free from football duties, now he set to make way back into coaching business as report link him to several teams: (AC Milan, Chelsea, Manchster City, Real Madrid, and he snub Ajax offer).
