Hodgson agrees one year contract extension with Fulham
Roy Hodgson has signed a one year contract extension. The Fulham manager, who took charge Dec 2007, has led the club to a great season (2008-09) in the Barclays Premier League as Fulham finished last season 7th.
Hodgson, whose contract expires in the summer, save Fulham from relegation on the last day of the 2007-08 season and to qualification for the Europa League last season. He turned down offers from Sweden and Norway national teams and decide to keep his job at Craven Cottage.
Many consider Hodgson is in pole position to take charge of the Britain team at the 2012 Olympics Games in London.
Gary Megson sacked
Gary Megson has been sacked as Bolton manager after two years at the Reebok Stadium. Megson is the third manager shown the door alongside Mark Hughes (Man City) and Paul Hart (Portsmouth).
Megson had a bad relationship with Bolton fans, as they publicly show their discontent with their manager by holding “Megson out !!!” banners in the stadium, the new manager main task is to save Bolton from relegation (Now Bolton 18th with 18 points).
Assistant coach Chris Evans and first team coach Steve Wigley will be filling caretaker position until Bolton choose their new manager
Coach of the Year by Onze Mondial magazine
The French Magazine Onze Mondial, offers several awards includes: The Onze d’Or (Footballer of the year), the Onze de Onze (the team of the season), and the Coach of the Year.

World Manager of the Year by “World Soccer” magazine
World Soccer the famous football magazine published by IPC Media.
Since 1982 World Soccer organise “Player of the Year”, “Manager of the Year”, and “Team of the Year” awards, and the newly two awards since 2005 for the best “Young Player of the Year” and “Referee of the Year”.

Manchester City’s Managers list (2000-2009)
Yesterday Roberto Mancini sealed his first win as Manchester City manager against Stoke City (2-0), meanwhile the media still criticizing the way Mark Hughes was sacked so in this post I put the list of Manchester City managers from 2000 until now.
Joe Royle:
England (8 April 1949) (from 18 February 1998 to 21 May 2001) managing them in 171 official games (Win % 43.27).
Kevin Keegan:
England (14 February 1951) (from 24 May 2001 to 11 March 2005) manging them in 176 official games (Win % 43.75).
Stuart Pearce:
England (24 April 1962) (from 21 March 2005 to 14 May 2007) managing them in 96 official games (Win % 35.1).
Sven-Göran Eriksson:
Sweden (DOB: 5 February 1948 )(from 6 July 2007 to 2 June 2008) managing them in 45 official games (Win % 42.22).

Del Bosque extended his contract until 2012
As expected the popular manager Vicente Del Bosque handed a contract extension until 2012, Ángel María Villar the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF) president give his full confidence in Del Bosque stating that “what ever happen” at the World Cup 2010 in South Africa this extension is a done business.
Del Bosque record with Spanish team was so far impressive, managing Spain in 22 games (W: 21 D: 0 L:1) scoring (63 goals) conceding (14 goals), also he wrote his name in history books as Del Bosque became the first manager in football history to win his first 10 games as debut manager of a national team, the previous record was 9 held by João Saldanha (1969 – 1970) of Brazil. Also Spain ended their World Cup qualification with 100% winning all their 10 games.
